Gashouder former Westergasfabriek reflected in a pool on a blue skied spring day.

The Western Gas factory was developed in the 19th century to provide gas extracted from coal for the city. With the discovery of natural gas in the Northern Netherlands the factory became redundant.

Nowadays the area is used for cultural purposes with the gas tank used a venue for amongst other things festivals.
